At AHN, our advisory program is built on the belief that no student should fall through the cracks. It provides them with a consistent, caring adult who supports them throughout their school years, ensuring they are seen, heard, and valued. It’s not just a program—it’s a vital part of what makes our school feel like a community.
I had the privilege of working with six incredible students for all four of their years in high school: Mary Donlon, Reagan Dunham, Abby Edwards, Macie Fiore, Sophia Marko, and Chiara Sementilli. I later had the good fortune to add two more students to my advisory roster: Jia Job and Gianna Savoca. Although they were unique to each other in personality and path, my advisees shared a spirit that made our time together unforgettable. They were a kind, rambunctious, funny, and smart dynamic group who brought energy and warmth to every meeting. I bestow nothing but blessings on these students, as they were a true blessing to me.
I swelled with pride on graduation day as they walked across the stage—knowing how far they’d come and how much heart they’d put into their journey. Watching them grow into strong, confident young women really showed me just how much this program matters.
