The Carlo Cherubino Memorial Fund will support programs and initiatives at Academy of the Holy Names that reflect who he was and what he cared about as a teacher, coach, and person. Coach Cherubino wanted every young woman at Holy Names to realize their potential, and worked tirelessly to ensure they had the support, tools, and opportunities to realize the greatness inside themselves.

He inspired the best in everyone he encountered, living by example with kindness, quiet strength, patience, humor, and dedication. His legacy will live on as those who learned from him embody his defining characteristics and pass the baton to the next generation.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE
BE ACTIVE

All community members near and far are invited to get moving and track your activity for a miles match donation.

Run, walk, bike, row, swim.

Just log your miles with the AHN Advancement by shooting us an email at: ahnadvancement@ahns.org or send a text to: 518-944-5566.

Include your name, class year (if alumna) and number of miles logged for “Bino’s Mileage Match” Giving Tuesday challenge.

Total miles logged (up to 3,000) by 8:00 p.m. will be matched by the Board of Trustees with a donation to the Carlo Cherubino Memorial Fund.

Help encourage others to participate by posting a ‘sweaty selfie’ or screenshot of

your activity tracker on social media (tagging @ahnalbany), and invite friends to join the fun!

GIVE BACK

Holy Names is hosting an equipment drive Tuesday December 3 through Friday December 6. Coach Cherubino believed everyone should have the opportunity

to pursue sports for the many benefits they offer. The equipment will be used

for any of our students and programs that need it, as well as donated to local

organizations that Coach Cherubino supported. Please bring in equipment, and/or

invite your neighbors and family to do the same! Donation boxes for track spikes, lacrosse sticks, baseball bats, catcher’s mitts, masks, etc. will be available in The Riley Auditorium.

For those not located in the Capital Region, please consider making a donation of gently-used equipment to programs or organizations in your local area.
