Celebrating a Legacy. Honoring a Life. Running with Purpose.

It was a special day of remembrance, gratitude, and community as we came together to celebrate the life and legacy of Coach Carlo Cherubino—a beloved teacher, mentor, and coach who gave so much to Academy of the Holy Names over his 45 years of service.

Coach Cherubino’s impact on AHN is immeasurable. Through his dedication, compassion, and tireless spirit, he inspired generations of students and families—both on and off the course. The Memorial 5K and Youth Cross Country Race was more than just about running—it was a chance to honor all that he meant to the AHN community and to carry forward the values he lived every day: commitment, kindness, perseverance, and heart.

“He could see your potential and pushed you towards it—whether it be through tough love or encouragement, he knew what each runner needed to be successful. Sometimes that was telling us that he could time our runs with a sundial, or that our resting heart rates were too high, or, one that I got a lot, “Leave your brain at home.” He had this way about him that made you want to work hard to impress him and achieve that potential.” – Brianna Wagner ’17
