Three New Board Members Also Added

Dr. Martin Kilbridge, President of Academy of the Holy Names, announced today the Board of Trustees has named new co-chairs of the Board – both Holy Names alumnae — Lissa McNaughton ’77 P ’22 and Maryann McCarthy ’88 P ’19. Both trustees have been life-long residents of the Capital Region and board members since 2017. The co-chairs will begin their service in July. They will succeed Chris Edwards P ’14 who has served as chair since 2019.

“We are fortunate to have two such accomplished alumnae leading the Board of Holy Names,” Dr. Kilbridge said. “Their vision, skills, and institutional knowledge will ensure we hold true to our proud identity as an all-girls Catholic school preparing innovative leaders for tomorrow.”

Lissa McNaughton of Graypoint, LLC. is an experienced financial advisor with more than thirty years in the industry. Lissa received her Bachelor of Science in Multiple Science from LeMoyne College and a Master of Business Administration from the College of William and Mary.

“Although I’ve been volunteering in different capacities at Holy Names for many years, serving as a board member for the past seven years and as chair of the enrollment committee has created an even stronger connection with the school,” said McNaughton. “I’m so excited to be serving as co-chair with Maryann McCarthy. We share the same goals and vision for the school that changed the trajectory of my life.”

McCarthy is an attorney and lobbyist at Brown and Weinraub Advisors, LLC with proven expertise in environmental, energy and economic development matters. She graduated from Providence College with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and received her Juris Doctor from Albany Law School.

“Lissa and I will take the baton from Chris, a dedicated and highly successful board leader serving in honor of his mother, Rosemary, who taught at AHN for more than 30 years.” said McCarthy, who currently chairs the governance committee. “My personal and professional achievements are based on what I learned as a student at Holy Names. I am watching as my daughter successfully navigates the world based on what she learned at AHN. Now, I have the privilege to help other students thrive thanks to this wonderful institution. I could not be prouder to continue that tradition as board co-chair.
