“I am thrilled to meet with this dynamic group of women,” said Wendy Diefendorf, Director of Enrollment Management, Academy of the Holy Names. “As a senior administrator in an all-girl’s school, I am confident this will be a transformative opportunity to exchange ideas which will be of great benefit to our students and the women and girls of the Capital Region.”
“When you get a group of passionate women together, we get things done,” said Shelly Calabrese, Executive Director of The Women’s Institute, Russell Sage College. “Our goal is to bring together like-minded women’s organizations to promote equity and equality through community initiatives and advocacy. Channeling the power of collaboration is truly how we’ll bring about positive change. When women unite, we make things happen!”
“This convening of women and girl-serving organizations is so timely and important,” says Brenda Episcopo, CEO of Girl Scouts of Northeastern NY. “With the impacts of COVID, cost of living increases, and the childcare crisis continuing to disproportionately impact women, we must work together to champion the best possible outcomes for women and girls. At Girl Scouts, we hold deep values of sisterhood, working together and making the world a better place. We look forward to broadening our sisterhood to like-minded organizations and are excited about the possibilities of what we can achieve together.”
