Dr. Martin Kilbridge, President of Academy of the Holy Names, announced today Devon Tomson has been appointed as AHN’s new Athletic Director. Tomson most recently served as Head Coach of Men’s Soccer at Hudson Valley Community College.
Like most identical twins, Addison and Emma Fogarty have been nearly inseparable since birth. The Academy of the Holy Names seniors still share a room at home in Troy and have been playing soccer together on the same teams for as long as they can remember. Read more here.
Academy of the Holy Names will take a break from academics for a day, as students, faculty and staff will spend the day volunteering their time at 18 different service organizations around the Capital District. The Day of Service will demonstrate the dedication of the entire Holy Names community to serve the marginalized, poor, and disadvantaged in the Capital District.

Hundreds of young girls ran out of their comfort zone this weekend, in a fun, healthy way.
The 10th annual “Girls on the Run” 5K was held at Joe Bruno Stadium on Saturday.
More than 800 girls from third through eighth grade took part in the race. Watch here.
The morning announcements at Albany’s Academy of Holy Names has been given a makeover. Once heard only over the loud speaker, they’re now livestreamed into every classroom and anchored by students themselves. The broadcast is appropriately called ‘Panthervision’ after the school’s mascot. Watch here.
