Academy of the Holy Names took a break from academics on March 5, as students, faculty and staff spent the day volunteering at more than 20 different service organizations around the Capital District. The first annual grant presentation of the Father Kenneth J. Doyle Catholic Education Fund was held on Tuesday, March 3, at St. Mary’s, Crescent in Waterford.

TROY, NY (NEWS10) — The Albany Academy and Holy Names girls basketball teams met in the Class A semifinal last season, with Academy winning 53-43 on the way to their third straight section championship. This year, the two teams will meet in the Class A title game.
Holy Names held off Glens Falls 69-59 behind a dominant effort from Maggie Volmer.
